🏛️ 06 / Glossary: The Zero-Fluff Dictionary

To operate within the Synthesis Ledger V42, one must adopt the technical lexicon of the Horpestad Standard. This glossary defines the fundamental components of the Drift Detection System (DDS) and the 42^2 mathematical framework.

A - C

  • Adversarial Audit: A multi-stage execution process where a secondary model (The Auditor) attempts to find flaws, hallucinations, or logic drift in the primary model’s (The Brain) output before it is committed to the Ledger.
  • Arweave: The permanent, decentralized data storage layer (Permaweb) where all Synthesis Atomics are hosted. Unlike IPFS, Arweave ensures that logic blueprints are stored forever via a one-time endowment.
  • Atomic: An immutable, versioned AI logic blueprint. Each Atomic (e.g., A-CFO-SolvencyAudit) contains the specific instructions, schemas, and BPS weights required for a forensic task.
  • Base Mainnet: The Ethereum Layer 2 scaling solution used as the protocol's execution ledger. It provides the security of Ethereum with the low-latency required for high-frequency quality sealing.
  • BPS (Basis Points of Sovereignty): The primary metric of the protocol. Measured from 0 to 10,000, where 10,000 is 100% logic integrity. It quantifies the alignment between an AI’s output and its Arweave-stored blueprint.

D - L

  • Deterministic Brain Phase: The initial stage of the Sovereign Engine where raw AI reasoning is generated based on a specific Atomic's logic.
  • DDS (Drift Detection System): The automated decentralized mechanism that monitors the Ledger for Logic Drift. It is responsible for issuing Quality Strikes and decommissioning obsolete Atomics that fall below the 7800 BPS floor.
  • Genesis 90 Council: The initial body of 90 seated peers who hold GROWTH_CONTROLLER roles. They are the human-in-the-loop layer responsible for the gradual decentralization phase and the execution of governance maneuvers during the early "Granite" epoch.
  • Granite Standard: The V42 technical baseline requiring that all logic be immutable, all execution be anchored, and all governance be cryptographic.
  • Horpestad Standard: The architectural shift from "Prompt Engineering" (fragile) to "Atomic Subscription" (resilient). It introduces a self-healing ecosystem where logic outcompetes itself based on forensic quality.
  • Logic Drift: The phenomenon where an AI model's performance decays over time due to hidden updates, "safety" tuning, or model versioning, causing previously functional prompts to fail.

P - S

  • Pulse: A single execution of a Synthesis Atomic. Each Pulse results in a verified record containing a timestamp, BPS score, and a Certification Hash.
  • Quality Strike: A permanent mark recorded against an Atomic ID on the blockchain. Triggered when an audit returns a BPS score below 7800. Accumulating 3 strikes results in decommissioning.
  • Reconciler: The final software phase that formats the adversarial audit results into a standardized JSON payload for blockchain synchronization.
  • Sealing: The act of committing a quality audit to the Base Mainnet Ledger. A "Sealed" audit is immutable and serves as a permanent proof of integrity.
  • Sovereign Engine: The core command-line utility (Master V42) that orchestrates the movement of data between the User, AI Engine, Arweave, and the Blockchain.
  • Staking Requirement: The necessity for a validator or user to hold $SYNL tokens to interact with the Ledger, ensuring "skin in the game" and funding the execution fee.
  • SYNL ($SYNL): The native utility token of the Synthesis Ledger. It functions as the gas and governance bond for the 1B supply ecosystem.

T - Z

  • V42 "Granite": The current iteration of the Synthesis Ledger infrastructure, characterized by the "burning" of admin keys and the transition to autonomous auditing.
  • Verification Logic: The mathematical verification framework ensuring that every AI action has a corresponding reaction, preventing the "Model Upgrade Trap" and ensuring consistent enterprise quality.
